The Municipal Chief Executive Officer for Ahanta West, Hon. John Agyare has concorded to the preaching and advocacy of the incumbent New Patriotic Party NPP about Unity among its members in the country to break the 8 hopefully in the 2024 general election.
The Municipal Chief Executive Officer for Ahanta West, Hon. John Agyare added his views saying that, if the members of the NPP will all commit themselves to ensure unity under the umbrella family, the goal for breaking the 8 will be possible for them.
However, the Municipal Chief Executive Officer for Ahanta West, Hon. John Agyare speaking in an interview on the Wontumi TV morning show admonishes the party especially the leaders to be constrained in appointing their next flagbearer because that appointment will determine the party victory in the 2024 general election.
Further, the MCE on that note extended his appeal to all party members and patriotic most especially the youths in the grass root to commit to serving the party and to sacrifice for it to remain in power.
Additionally, Hon. John Agyare again indicated that the position of the flagbearer is not just meant for anyone further adding that the more the party stays in power the more every member benefits from the sharing of the cake.
“Everybody cannot occupy position but the more the party stays in power the more everybody will have his share of the cake,” he affirmed.
The incumbent New Patriotic Party NPP held their National Annual Delegates Conference at Kumasi in the Ashanti Region of Ghana on the 20th of December 2021.
The conference was honoured by almost all the party gurus and big men in the country notably the president and vice president, Nana Akufo Addo and Dr Mahamudu Bawumia respectively.
However, the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Akufo Addo giving a speech at the conference disclosed that whoever his party, New Patriotic Party NPP will nominate as his successor will directly be the next President of the Republic of Ghana when he leaves office in 2025.
Therefore, he also calls on party members and youth to exercise unity and peace to catalyse the party into winning power again in the 2024 General Election.
