At least hundreds of inhabitants of Sunyani Kotokrom in the Bono Region have been rendered homeless as a result of a heavy downpour.
Reports say the heavy downpour occurred on Friday dawn and Saturday respectively.
The heavy downpour got the police station at Sunyani Kotokrom flooded which rendered the police officers and their families homeless, the morning show host of Sunyani Fm explained to Mylifeguideonline.com’s Kennedy Amankwa.
He further noted that properties such as cars, televisions, and furniture among others were destroyed as a result of the flood.
One of the victims said they have been affected by the flood and thinks that most people have built on waterways as a result when it rains the water gets choked up in their area for one week and that could have led to the flood.
The victim further appealed to the government and other benevolent organizations to come to their aid to get their issue of accommodation solved.
