Types Of Transfers Or Reposting In GES Explained

1. GES Inter-Regional Transfer

This is the most difficult transfer to be granted. A teacher seeking to get an inter-regional transfer must give the Service a very tangible reason to be granted this form of transfer.

Inter-regional transfer refers to the transfer where a teacher is moved from the region he/she currently is, to another region.

2. GES Intra-District Transfer

This form of transfer refers to the transfer which is within the same district. A teacher who seeks for this transfer simply wants to be moved from his/her current school to a different one within the same district.

3. GES Inter-District Transfer

Within the Ghana Education Service (GES), an inter-district transfer refers to the transfer where a teacher is moved from his/her current district to another one.
