The Free Senior High School policy established by the president of the 4th republic of Ghana has been one of the best programs under his administration. Ghanaians are looking forward that the Free SHS persisting, and all the necessary measures are been taken to ensure its quality.
Recently, It has been in the news that there is a shortage of food in some of the districts in the Nothern Region and other places. Per analysis taken by some media stations like JoyNews, Adom, UTV, Peace FM, and other newspapers indicating almost 90% of Senior High Schools in Ghana are facing the same food challenge.
Books which government has to provide for the schools are not given, uniforms and items the students will need. According to some Ghanaians and the opposition party NDC, the government should cancel free SHS and use the money to manage the economy so that the hardship in the system will reduce.

The finance minister Ken Ofori Atta speaking with PM Express indicated that there is no truth about the news circulating on the internet concerning the cancelation of the Free SHS. He revealed that they are now reviewing the Free SHS policy but it doesn’t mean it will be canceled. Free SHS has come to stay and it will continue forever.
