Months earlier, notice was released by the Controller and Accountant-Generals Department concerning the payment of salary. They indicated dates on which salaries will be paid to all government workers. Salaries for the month of January will be paid on 21st while February, March, October, and November Salaries will be paid on the 25th of the month.
In June, payment will be made on the 24th whilst for the months of April, May, July, and August, payment will be made on the 26th of each of the months. For September, payment will be made on 27th, and for December, it will be made on the 19th.
This was the structure of salary payment released. Unfortunately, it seems CAGD has not been sticking to this as government workers still await their June monthly salary.
Concerning the issue, if government workers do not receive their June 2022 salary, the Controller General’s Department has again released a notice that the salary payment and validation date for June 2022 have been issued.
They also indicated that public sector workers will be paid if only the Heads of Management Units and Human Resource Officers defined on the E-SPV system have validated their wages for the month. Thus, if you do not receive your June salary, then it is probably because of non-validation by the Heads of Management Units and HR officers. Payment will only be made if your salaries have been validated.
Furthermore, according to CAGD, the expected date for the opening of the E-SPV validation window is from the 20th of June to the 22nd of June. After which workers should expect payment of the salaries for June from 24th through to 30th.
