Osagyefo Oseadeyo Agyeman Badu, the Dormahene and the President of the Bino Regional House of Chief has described the uncompleted projects in the Sunyani Municipality and other parts of the region notably the airport as discriminatory against the residents in the Bono Region.
The Dormahene therefore, calls on the government of Ghana under the leadership of President Nana Akufo Addo to make it a priority to complete the uncompleted projects in the area for the benefit of the people.
The President of the Bono Regional House of Chiefs made this statement at a meeting with some of the chiefs and traditional rulers of the town on the 17th of December 2021.
According to, Osagyefo Oseadeyo Agyeman Badu every road, project and other infrastructure that are captured in the budget every year are always either abandoned or shoddily executed and will at the end of the day be of no benefits for the people.
Furthermore, the story in some of the Regions across the country is not the same as compared to the Bono Region further describing the slow progress of the projects and rehabilitation of the Sunyani Airport which is therefore out of use for more than five good years in the country as discriminatory and pathetic.
Osagyefo Oseadeyo Agyeman Badu, the Dormahene and the President of the Bino Regional House of Chief on that note, pledged to provide land for the resettlement of the residents who have encroached on the airport land.
“What crime have the people of Bono committed to being treated this way. Look at the rate of development in other regions as compared to what is transpiring in Bono.
“Kumasi and Ho Airports have been refurbished or constricted yet the one in Sunyani hasn’t seen any facelift. As a matter of urgency we are demanding from the government to be up and doing and reconstruct the airport,” he explained.
