The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Mr Bernard Antwi Boasiako popularly known in the political scope as Chairman Wontumi could be in trouble if he is unable to defend himself on a serious revelation about dubious dealings currently ongoing in the newly built Kejetia Market which implicates him.
The outspoken Ashanti regional chairman who was very influential in the NPP’s one touch victory in the just ended elections has been silent for some time now, probably because we are out of the political season.
Emerging news circulating and confirmed on his own media house, thus Wontumi multimedia by the host of Wontumi television’s morning show, Oheneba Nana Assiedu has it that some documents which authenticity is yet to be confirmed is being used by a group of people to sell out stores at the Kejetia market to some interested people.
These documents bear the name of the NPP chairman as the owner of some individual stores at the Kejetia market and they are as well having the signature of the Ashanti regional minister, Mr Simon Osei Mensah to be in approval of the said change of ownership.
Though the journalist has defended his boss, chairman Wontumi that these documents are fake since he(Wontumi) does not own even a single store at the kejetia market let alone to be sold outright to interested individuals. But we are patiently waiting on the chairman to openly come out to clear the air on all these allegations.
