An enviable award anybody would wish to have is a Presidential award. Undoubtedly, the highest and most prestigious award.
The Presidential award is not given for a levity, neither is it given for a flippancy. It is given for a unique purpose, the purpose for which the receiver of the award has done something exceptionally well.
On this occasion, I euphorically present to you Caroline Awinimi Ayamba, one of a few beneficiaries of the presidential award for a sterling academic performance.
A 15 years old girl hailing from Binduri in the Upper East Region of Ghana, Caroline fantastically completed her BECE with aggregate 6, scoring 9 ones from Services Basic School in Takoradi, Western Region.
On the 3rd day of March, she was awarded by his Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo- Addo at the Accra International Conference Center. She has really proven her valour, mettle academic fortitude among her peers and this has necessitated the call to give her the attention required for her to achieve more wondrous feats in the pursuit of higher education.
She elected to pursue Science and has been admitted at ARCHBISHOP PORTER GIRLS SECONDARY SCHOOL, Takoradi Western Region bring her dreams to fruition.
This is in consonance with the cliche that says ‘one day the charcoal seller’s daughter will wear white dress’.
I call on all and sundry to hail her for exceptionally well done.
