The Health Minister-designate Kwaku Agyeman-Manu has indicated that Ghana’s allocation for COVID-19 as a relief fund from the world bank is finished.

The Word Bank in the early stages of the deadly pandemic provided Ghana with a fund worth One Hundred Million Dollars as a COVID-19 Relief fund.

The monies were expected to be injected into the economy and the people of Ghana during the period as it had visited untold hardship on them.

But speaking at vetting on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 the Dormaa Central MP said currently, Ghana has finished spending all the $100,000,000 COVID-19 relief funds.

“Initially we got a hundred million dollar allocation to spend on COVID. All that has been exhausted. We have got another money that is just about to mature for us to utilize and that is about $120,000000 from the World Bank. It’s a loan.”
