See Why North Tongu MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa Is Against Emirate Travel Ban – Read Why

The President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Akufo Addo has admonished repelling the decision and moved by the Emirates to impose a travel ban on some selected African countries in the world.

Therefore, the Member of Parliament for North To gu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa with regards to that appeal to President Nana Akufo Addo to, however, suspend his trip to Dubai on the 18th of March 2022 as part of a protest against their decision.

Furthermore, according to the Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the ban by the Dubai country on some of the African countries is a discriminatory and senseless decision hence the decision should be opposed strongly by the Africans.

However, the Emirates in their statements said that ” Affected customers do not need to call us immediately for rebooking. Customers can simply hold on to their Emirates ticket and when flights resume, get in touch with their travel agent or booking office to make new travel plans. To receive the latest updates on their flights, customers are also advised to ensure that their contact details are updated by visiting Manage Your Booking“.

On that note, the Member of Parliament in reacting to the Emirate decision took to his social media Facebook page on the 29th of December 2021 to rubbish the idea by saying that, their decision is born out of discrimination and for that matter should be opposed by the Africans.

Mr Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa further noted that citizens from Dubai or other countries can travel to Ghana whereas Ghanaians cannot travel to Dubai hence he deems their decision to be senseless and useless.

The North Tongu Member of Parliament is therefore calling on the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Akufo Addo to protest against the decision and by doing so he should cancel his trip to Dubai coming 18th March 2022.
