A 22-year-old charcoal vendor’s decomposing body was discovered hanging in a closed public restroom at Gomoa Obiri in the Central Region’s Gomoa West District.
According to information acquired the deceased Kobina Gyata was reported missing from the neighborhood for roughly three months.
According to the report, the Gomoa Obiri Community and other neighboring Communities searched for the deceased’s whereabouts but were unable to locate him, so they stopped assuming he was traveling to another location to buy charcoal.
According to the report, after conducting their final search, the Gomoa Obiri Community discovered him hanged and decomposing in a public restroom that had been abandoned.
A client of the dead offered him roughly 3,000 Ghana cedis to create charcoal, but the deceased failed to do so, according to Chief of Gomoa Obiri Nana Apoh Bondam V in an interview. The deceased was nowhere to be located when the client made the decision to come get her bags of charcoal.
All of them believed he had gone to purchase charcoal as he always does, and when they tried in vain to reach him on the phone, they were shocked to find his decomposing body hanging in an abandoned public restroom.
He believes the dead committed suicide after paying for the charcoal in order to avoid shame.
After the area had been cleansed, the decomposing body had been buried.
The Chief of Gomoa Obiri, Nana Apoh Bondam V advised his subjects to report any case to them for proper address.
