A small community in the Nadowli Kaleo District called Serekpere is mourning after lightening killed four residents. The deceased included a teenager who was a student in JHS 1. Interestingly, the bodies of the dead were left untouched as they waited for Fetish Priests and Mallams to perform rituals.
” We never thought of this. This is a natural disaster. However, we can’t rule out the action of our ancestors. We’re waiting for the Fetish Priest to perform rituals so that we can bury them. It’s very sad” A resident told the media.
This is not the first time lightening has killed human beings. Few months ago, A young man was also killed in the Volta Region under the same circumstance. Well, we can only wish the departed ones a perfect rest in peace.
The sad news was reported by Upper West media group in Wa, Upper West Region of Ghana.
