Sad News Hit The Elephant Family As Former Mayor Of Accra Under Kufuor Passes On

Solomon Ofei Darko who is the former Mayor of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly under the former President of the Republic of Ghana, John Agyekum Kuffour is reportedly dead.

According to the Ghanaweb publication, the sudden death of the former Mayor of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly was announced by his beloved son over a phone call confirmed by Ghana web on the 4th of January 2022.

Furthermore, Nii Doodu Darko who happens to be the son of the deceased former Mayor for the Accra Metropolitan Assembly reveals that his beloved father passed on on the 31st of December 2021 after battling with an undisclosed illness at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital.

However, it is noted that Solomon Ofei Darko sacrificially served the former President of the Republic of Ghana, John Agyekum Kuffuor from the year 2000 to 2003 under the incumbent New Patriotic Party NPP administration.

According to the announcement, the family of the deceased is yet to officially announce the details of the final burial services and funeral rites in the country.

The former Mayor for the Accra Metropolitan Assembly, Solomon Ofei Darko 2as born on the 26th of January 1936 and sadly died at the age of 86 years.

Solomon Ofei Darko was also the Environmental Programme Coordinator at the Borough of Hackney, London Uk before he was appointed as the Mayor for Accra by former President John Agyekum Juffour.

Furthermore, he is also acknowledged to have joined the Company Engineering and Planning Associates as a Programme Coordinator upon his return to Ghana in the year 1994.

Additionally, Solomon Ofei Darko, the former Mayor of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly under the former President of the Republic of Ghana, John Agyekum Kuffour was also the president for the Ghana Amateur Boxing Association GABA in the country.
