‘Presidooo! Presidooo!’ -How Both NPP, NDC MPs Welcomed Kennedy Agyapong to Parliament Causes Massive Stir

The floor of Parliament was full of noise when Assin Central Law maker Hon. Kennedy Agyapong made a grand entrance yesterday.

The Third Session of the Eighth Parliament of the Fourth Republic commenced at 10 o’clock in the forenoon of Tuesday, February 7, 2023 after the house went on recess in December.

Since the break, a lot has happened in-between with MPs making noise either to cheer or boo one character or the other.

Upon Kennedy Agyapong’s entry into the house, the Assin MP was greeted with a deafening noise of “presidoooo, presidooo” by both sides of the house as the MP smiled all throughout.

The MPs cheers appears to be linked to the Assin Lawmaker’s decision to contest as flagbearer for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) when nominations are opened

Other persons who received cheers and plaudits on the floor of Parliament included Dr. Stephen Amoah, who was hailed by loud noise upon his appointment as Deputy Minister-designate for Trade and Industry.

“Sticka Stickaaaaaaa” the MPs cheered loudly. Same could be said for Adansi Asokwa’s K.T Hammond who will serve as the direct boss of Dr. Stephen Amoah at the Ministry.
