The President of the Republic of Ghana has admonished the Ghana Football Team, Black Stars to be well-positioned and stay focused on attaining the trophy for the country in the ongoing 2021 African Cup of Nation at Cameroon
It is noted that today 10th January, the Ghana Black Stars is set to battle with Morocco.

However, the President of Ghana Nana Akufo Addo in a statement to the well-wishing team expressed his confidence in them charging them to put up their best in the tournament for the good name of the country.

“We have to go a step further than the second places recorded in 1992, 2010 and 2015 and bring the 40-year drought to an end. The task may be daunting but it is certainly not insurmountable. I believe that in the current crop of players, we have the talent to match any of the best teams on the continent. Wear it with pride, wear it with determination, be of one mind and spirit and be united on or off the pitch. Whether you are in the starting 11 chosen by coach Milovan Rajevac or not, you owe it a duty to back and support wholeheartedly your teammates representing the nation on the field, that is how a fifth Afcon trophy for mother Ghana can be achieved”, the statement indicated.

Furthermore, President Nana Akufo Addo through his statement expressed his delight in the decision for the postponement of the AFCON 2021 which was expected should hold the last year 2021 but due to the global devastating effect of the covid 19 viruses was postponed till now.

However, Nana Akufo Addo never doubts the Black Stars of Ghana further adding that the pressure to succeed as a team is understandably high because of the four-time winners of the trophy.

The President on that note acknowledged the good and hard work of the Black Stars Team and its management team further encouraging to thoroughly work heard for the trophy for the AFCON 2021 tournament.
