Despite her support for lofty goals, Ablekuma North MP Sheila Bartels says the contentious National Cathedral could have been placed on hold by President Nana Akufo-Addo.
On Wednesday, July 6, 2022, she remarked in an interview, “I am absolutely for being ambitious because if you are not ambitious in your goals, ideas and what you aim to do, as a government, you would be average.” “You will finish and you wouldn’t have achieved anything,” she explained.
To back up her claim, Kwamena Bartels’s daughter used the Free SHS program to make her point. “So, it is good to have that idea that I want to achieve big things,” she said.
When it comes to my government, I believe the concept of Free SHS came up as a response to the fact that most families, especially in rural areas, cannot afford to send their children all the way to university,” an NPP lawmaker stated. “In particular, on education, for instance,” he continued
In an interview with Starr FM’s Nana Aba Anamoah, she said, “You have a lot of smart students all throughout the country who wouldn’t have gone to SHS if it weren’t for this investment.”
“Honestly, I think that the Cathedral could have waited,” she commented when discussing the Cathedral. That’s what I think. In my opinion, it could have sat there for a little longer.
The infrastructure that attracts tourists is visible to me whenever I travel to other countries, but even though I appreciated the concept, I believe it could have waited.
