The Herald cited Sarah Mary Olufemi Adetola as the wife of the President of Ghana’s Secretary, Nana Asante Bediatuo, in the multimillion-dollar supply of the mathematical set contract that was grilled by the Parliament’s Appointments Committee last week by former Education Minister Mathew Opoku Prempeh and his former Deputy Dr. Yaw Osei Adutum.
Kwadwo Darko-Mensah alias Onasis, Chief Executive Officer of Bluegrass Group Ltd, was detained by officers of the National Investigation Bureau (NIB), formerly the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI), to aid with a current investigation.
But investigations into the matter by The Herald are starting to uncover some intriguing evidence that says that Mathew Opoku Prempeh has a lot to conceal from those to which the contract was given and what triggered the delay.
The Herald is notified that on the assertion of searching for weapons, NIB had barged the home of Onasis and picked him away on that claim, but his questioning had been on the contract agreement for mathematical sets wherein Sarah Mary Olufemi Adetola was labeled the wife of Nana Asante Bediatuo.
The disclosure is so serious that Mathew Opoku Prempeh, who was appointed to be Minister of Energy, may be accused by the Appointment Committee for treason over the contract agreement for mathematical sets since he did not say the truth. His assertion that the company produced the mathematical sets was also denied by NIB sources who state that what was delivered was only about 50%.
