Nana Akomea, a leading member of the incumbent New Patriotic Party NPP have indicated he will be glad to see the two front liners of his great party who are questing for the position of the governing party run on a single ticket together.
He further revealed that his stance in support of this idea is because both two-party gurus who he is in support of the race are satisfied by the North and South criteria.
According to Nana Akomea, one of them should be the flagbearer for the party and the other should be the running mate and for that matter, it should be subjected to a negotiation between the two camps.
“What I will strongly like to see will be very much happy to he part of the process is to have an engagement with the two main people so we can have a single ticket. Negotiate, look at concessions and offers that can be made and have a single ticket”, he explained.
However, Nana Akomea, a leading member of the incumbent New Patriotic Party NPP speaking in an interview at Accra Based Metro TV indicated that the party should give a second thought to his recommendations.
Furthermore, he said that the party will most likely avoid the flagbearer contest if it set its mind on it after the Annual National Delegates Conference at Kumasi in the Greater Kumasi.
Mr Nana Akommea again reveals that there will be a great division and disparity among great members of the incumbent New Patriotic Party NPP if the party go for a contest further adding that it will jeopardise the party ambitions to break the eight in the country.
On that note, the leading member of the New Patriotic Party NPP, therefore, reiterated that the party will flourish well if the two members are of the single ticket to the party because they are two great men with good ambitions for the party and the country.
“If the party can avert its mind and have a quiet consultative process of a single ticket of Bawumia, Alan it will help”, he added.
He, therefore, believes that Bawumia and Alan running in a single ticket will help cut costs in the party.
