Fearless Ghanaian politician, Hon Kennedy Agyapong has dropped one of the names of the government officials who are the bane of illegal mining in the nation.
According to the member of Parliament for Assin Central in a phone interview with One Ghana TV, though Otumfuo Osei Tutu mentioned that most of his colleagues are behind the excess illegal mining in the country, there’s a governmental body that has more influence on the activity.
He mentioned that the Ghana Mineral Commission which is headed by Mr. SK Boafu is the main brain behind galamsey in the nation.
The business mogul explained that it is the Mineral Commission that deploys people to mine particular places for gold.
He continued that though it’s a governmental institution, the government has only small control over it.
