Report convened has it that the Ghana Police Service is mourning the death of one of their own, thus Ellembelle District Police Commanders in the Western Region.
The District Police Commander, Superintendent Thomas Bayor gave up the ghost this morning at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital after battling with some unexplained sickness for three weeks.
He was stationed at the Nzema East District Police Command, and had remained at post since 2018. He had in his past service headed the Kwesimintsim District Police Service.
A trusted source in the Police Service mentioned that his condition went worse some three days ago whiles receiving treatment at the Eikwe Government Hospital.
Doctors had no option to transfer him to Cape.Coast Teaching Hospital to receive emergent treatment, only for him to pass away shortly.
Family of the deceased police officer have been informed and the necessary arrangement being undertaken for his burial.
Some media persons in the Western Region who knew him shared the sad news. To some persons who reacted to the news, the death of Supt. Bayor is heartbreaking and unexplainable.
