The National Association of Graduate Teachers The National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT) will not be calling off its strike despite President Akufo-Addo’s plea.
Speaking on The Probe on Sunday, NAGRAT’s gender coordinator, Rebecca Ocran Abaidoo, said that the association was happy to have been invited for negotiations on Tuesday but maintained that the association was still on strike.
“We believe that we can always put ourselves together and honor the demand of workers because things keep getting worse by the day. How long can workers survive this? All we are asking simply is that cushion worker that is hard”.
Upon all the pleas his Excellency Nana Addo has made to the teachers for them to go to the classrooms to go and teach even though he has not paid their allowances to them. The President of the National Association of Graduate Teachers said even though they were ready for negotiations but they will not teach unless their needs are met.
