JUST IN: Your Plan For An Executive Jet Is Needless – Okudzeto Ablakwa Fires Government

The Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa have indicated that the Ghana Airforce has not prioritize the need for the purchase of a new jet in the country.

The Member of Parliament further disclosed that, the security agencies including the Ghana military have not indicated that they needed a new jet for their operations during a series of meeting held in the country with key ranking members of parliament.

However, the Ranking Member for the Committee of Foreign Affairs speaking in an interview on JOY FM top stories program monitored by Mylifrguideonline news reiterated that the purchase of the new presidential jet in the country is useless.

” I sat in a session where the where the Ghana Airforce have given us the list of what they need and an executive jet is not in the prioritize. This is an Airforce that needs a fighter jet, this is an Airforce that needs a lot of retooling, a lot of re-equipping for our troops”, he explained.

Furthermore, the Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa however, touching on the government intentions for a new presidential jet rubbish the idea by adding that the country Falcon 900EXE jet is available for presidential activities and still in a good shape and conditions hence no needs for new jet.

This follows the recent declaration by the Defense Minister, Dominic Nitiwul in parliament on Tuesday 14th December that, series of consultations are underway purposely for the purchase of the new presidential aircraft in the country.
