Good News Finally Hit Rev. Owusu Bempah -Details Drop.
The police have dropped their charges against Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah, general overseer of the Glorious Word Power Ministry.
Along with three other people, the preacher was accused of harming police officers.
Rev. Owusu Bempah, Michael Boateng, Frederick Ohene, and Nathaniel Agyekum all entered not guilty pleas to two counts of aiding and abetting the commission of harm and the commission of unlawful damage.
Police prosecutor Insp. Jonas Lawer informed the court on Wednesday that the accusations against the accused were being dropped without giving a justification.
As a result, the Accra Circuit Court deemed the case dropped and ordered the accused to be released.
This occurs two weeks after Owusu Bempah and six other defendants were released by a different Circuit Court on November 30 as a result of a withdrawal for making threats against Nana Agradaa’s life.
In this separate case, the prosecution had all requisite disclosures and witness testimonies on file and served on each of the defendants, with a hearing date of January 19, 2022.
