Before President Akufo Addo’s term ends in 2024, the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, says he wishes to see more asphaltic roads built in the Ashanti Region.
The renowned King urged the current New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration to see to it that all current road improvements in the area are finished by 2024.
He asserted that because the Ashanti Region serves as the foundation of the ruling party, locals will continue to call for more.
He said that the NPP should pay attention to all demands, especially those coming from the Ashanti Region.
This was said by the Asantehene Otumfour Osei Tutu II during the commissioning of the 100 kilometer Kumasi City Inner Ring Road and Adjacent Streets Project on August 1, 2022 at Kentinkrono.
The ruler of Asante Kingdom maintained in a speech read on his behalf by the “Asakyirihene” Nana Mensah Bonsu that it was the responsibility of the government to streamline road development projects in order to lessen traffic in cities across the nation.
Although he asked President Akufo-Addo to do more for the area, he did applaud him for finishing the 100 km inner city road project.
