Primary school teachers in Ghana are set to recieve their long awaited TM1 laptops following a release schedule made available. As revealed earlier by Prof Opoku Amankwa, the Director General of Ghana Education Service, the laptops distribution is set to end latest by the end of September.
The Upper East, Upper West and Northern Region starts from 1st August with completion date set for 19th August 22. Senior High School teachers in these regions will also recieve ICT training on it.
Bono East and West, Ahafo Region and Western North Regions are set to commence from 22nd to 31st August 2022. All Junior High Schools in the above regions will also recieve ICT training within the said date.
Primary teachers in Ashanti Region, Central Region and Western Region are also set to recieve their laptops from next month, 6th to 15th September 2022.
Eastern, Volta and Greater Accra regions are set to commence from 19th to 30th September 2022.
The TM1 laptop was initiated by GES, MOE and the teacher unions to supply laptops to public school teachers to help in the implementation of the new curriculum. Following that, Primary teachers have cried over it’s delayed distribution. They always ask when they will actually recieve it.
