Business mogul, Daniel McKorley, popularly known as McDan, has encountered the displeasure of a leading lawyer of the National Democratic Congress, Edudzi Tamakloe. This follows the complaints that were made by McDan to the court that one journalist with Ada FM, Noah Narh Dameh, had made a false publication against him, McDan.
Reacting to that, a member of the National Democratic Congress legal team, Lawyer Edudzi Tamakloe, has condemned McDan. He described what McDan did as a very shameful act. According to Edudzi, he could not comprehend why as at 2022, some people find it very comfortable to do such things to journalists. It is respect to that that Edudzi Tamakloe sent a message to McDan. His message was very simple. And it was that, McDan must quickly withdraw that complaints from the court
“This is shameful. In 2022, we are still doing these journalists? If you know McDan, tell him to immediately withdraw that complaint.”, he explained.
Many people have reacted to this message and the general reaction was that, Edudzi was been over dramatic and too partisan. Edudzi Tamakloe only placed himself in the shoes of the journalist and that alone can appeal to the mass. What Edudzi does not know is that, McDan is a business mogul and his integrity was at stake. The publication about him also can go a long way of causing a loss for him in his business. Some Ghanaians wondered if Lawyer Edudzi Tamakloe has never filed a defamation suit against anyone or has never given his service to someone who has filed a defamation suit.
In the other scene, others believed that Edudzi’s message must be received in good fate. This is because, not long ago, Ghana fell in terms of rank, in the Press Media Freedom ranking and issues like this accounted for it.
