Good News: NDC’s Baba Kamara Grabs Top Appointment -DETAILS
Former National Security Advisor under the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Alhaji Baba Kamara has received an appointment from the ECOWAS Commission.
Baba Kamara is expected to lead a 250-member ECOWAS Election Observation Mission to Nigeria from 22 to 28 February 2023.
The former Ghana Ambassador to Nigeria accepted an invitation from the President of the ECOWAS Commission.
Baba Kamara will be working alongside the former President of Sierra Leone, Ernest Bai Koroma.
Alhaji Baba Kamara’s appointment is said to be pursuant to the provisions of the ECOWAS supplementary protocol on democracy and good governance which seeks to harness specialized skills in the field of diplomacy and good governance for the benefit of nation-states in the sub-region.
Nigeria is expected to hold its presidential and senatorial elections on 25th February 2023 with three front runners. Ahmed Bola Tinubu from the Ruling APC, Atiku Abubakar from the main opposition PDP and Peter Obi from the LP.
