The member of Parliament for North Tongu Constituency Honaroble Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has reported that Ghana’s presidential jet has landed safely in Portugal after making it’s first trip in over 13 months.
In a post shared on his official Facebook page on Monday, 27th June 2022, he wrote that Ghana’s Presidential Jet has makes its first trip to Europe in over 13-months after government spokespersons had claimed some ghostly experts advised it shouldn’t be used for presidential trips outside Africa.
He reported that it landed safely in Faro, Portugal at 12:05am today after a 10:43pm transit stop in Lisbon.
“We shall win this battle to protect the battered public purse and save millions of Ghana Cedis (GHS 34million so far) which must be rechanelled from obscene luxury jet operators to address the needs of the Ghanaian people including paying suffering NABCo trainees, procuring textbooks after 3-years of neglect and attending to agitating school feeding caterers demanding an increase from a cruel 97p” Okudzeto said.
Background
The comments of Okudzeto comes following his many public revelations about Akufo-Addo’s for hiring luxurious private jets for his travels. Although the Communication Director at the office of the Presidency, Eugene Arhin debunked some claims of Okudzeto but the MP has been consistent.
