The member of Parliament for North Tongu constituency, Honorable Okudzeto Ablakwa has reacted to the just ended National elections of the New Patriotic Party.
The elections were conducted at the Accra Sports stadium with all the NPP delegates available to vote for the best candidate. There were some surprises at the end of the elections. John Boadu, who had high hopes of winning the elections lost of Justin Kodua with other 300 votes difference.
Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has reacted to this trending story and has sent an unexpected message to the vice president, Dr. Bawumia and John Boadu. According to Okudzeto Ablakwa, those plotting a win for Bawumia to succeed Akufo Addo must be troubled by now. This is because John Boadu, who is to give the support to Bawumia has lost.
“Imagine what would have been the outcome if NPP delegates were asked to vote on the performance of their own government? From the verdict, particularly on how the establishment’s John Boadu was defeated, those plotting the Bawumia succession plan must be deeply troubled” he said.
It is generally believed that John Boadu is a strong supporter of Dr. Bawumia but his recent lost at the NPP elections seems to block chances for Bawumia to succeed Nana Addo.
