Not long ago, John Mahama received an appointment by the African Union as an envoy to Somalia after which the unexpected incident of his rejection by Somalia caused massive reactions online.
With respect to this, John Mahama in a recent statement made public his intentions of withdrawing his acceptance as African Union envoy to Somalia.
While thanking the African Union for his appointment, John Mahama emphatically stated that, “the high political importance of the proposed assignment requires that the High representative enjoy the unalloyed support and co-operation of all political stakeholders”.
Upon John Mahama’s withdrawal of acceptance as AU envoy to Somalia finally popped up, most Ghanaians took the privilege to share their respective opinions on the alarming issue even though most individuals made it clear that, the former President was ‘rejected’.
