The Exact Date 2022 BECE Graduates Will Go To SHS According To The Academic Calendar
However, there is the possibility that the date might be changed if the date for the release of the school placement prolongs. According to the Ghana Education Service, the school placement list will be out to the public by the end of February. This clearly shows that the 20th February date for students admission may not be possible if the placement is released late.
According to the calendar;
Form 1 students will reopen on 20th February, 2023 and break on 14th April, 2023.
Already, the Ministry of Education and the Ghana Education Service have served notice to the public avoid engaging persons who promise to change the schools of BECE graduates. School placement into Senior High Schools is set to be released in February. BECE graduates are therefore encouraged to wait for their placement and attend the SHS they are being placed.
The school placement will be based on the aggregate each student attained in their BECE results.
Will The 2023 School Placement Involve Double Track System
First-year Senior High School students for the 2023/2024 academic year will not go through the double-track system which was introduced in 2018 to accommodate the increase in enrolment of Junior High School students into Senior High Schools.
All SHS one students will be in school together. There will no division in them as experienced few years ago.
According to the Ministry of Education, adequate preparations have been put in place to ensure that schools are able to absorb the first year student.
