The statement reads, “The attention of the Ministry of Education has been drawn to the circulation of false and malicious news story on social media alleging that deductions would be made from the professional development Allowance (PDA) of teachers, for the purpose of purchasing Modems and Teaching and Learning materials(TLMs) for them.
The Ministry wishes to state that no such arrangements have been made, and such these publications should be disregarded.
It must be noted that teachers remain pivotal in the promotion and development of education in Ghana and are key in the transformation agenda being executed by the government.
Again it is worth to note that the Ministry remains committed to paying the allowance to enable teachers build their professional capabilities”.
