COVID-19 : Hon. Elizabeth Agyeman vaccinated, Urges All Women To Do So

Former Deputy Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon. Elizabeth Agyeman and her family have on Wednesday, March 3’ 2021, taken the COVID-19 vaccination jab.

The vaccination exercise took place at her residence in Kumasi, the Ashanti regional capital.

Addressing the media, Hon. Elizabeth Agyeman well known as ( People’s Mother) urged all women in Ghana especially Ashanti Region to take part in the ongoing exercise.

She again said, women play major role in nation building and therefore need to be strong at all times to be able to take care of homes and other important roles.

“My fellow women let ignore the conspiracy and rumors concerning the COVID vaccine and let get vaccinated for our good and be there for our children and family” she added

She was administered the Jab by Ashanti Regional Non-Communicable disease coordinator, Nurse Lydia Owusu Ansah, same nurse who gave Otumfour Osei Tutu ll his jab .

The Ashanti Region vaccination exercise, is expected to take place in 14 districts within the Greater Kumasi and the two Districts in Obuasi, being Obuasi East District and Obuasi Municipal Assemblies.

The vaccination exercise commenced on Tuesday nationwide.

The first to be vaccinated are frontline health workers, security agencies, people with chronic disease, and people aged 60 and above.

Leading political figures like the President his vice and their wives have already been vaccinated.
