NDC outcast Allotey Jacobs has disclosed that Vice president Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia can lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to victory in the 2024 elections.
The former Central Regional Chairman of the NDC opined that the NPP stands a big chance of retaining power if they select Dr. Bawumia as their presidential candidate.
There have been debate over who the NPP would choose as their presidential candidate between Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and Alan Kyeremanten.
While others tip Dr. Bawumia to lead the NPP to victory in the 2024 elections, others also think Alan Kyeremanten is the party’s best option.
However, Allotey Jacobs is of the belief that the NPP will lose the 2024 elections if they fail to choose Bawumia as their flagbearer.
“Let see what will happen in 2024. That will be a defining moment for our democracy. Unless the NPP make that mistake of not bringing him [Bawumia] as their leader,” he said in an interview on Happy FM.
“With that, they are bound to lose the election . I am not a member of the NPP but I want to state that fact.” He added.
