Alhaji Ibrahim Mobila, the Northern Regional Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), has passed away, according to news reports.
He passed away at the Tamale Teaching Hospital, where he had been admitted and receiving care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for a week. This was reported by MyNewsGh.com.
On Tuesday, August 16, 2022, a few National Executives of the NDC paid him a visit at the facility. They spoke with him there for a short while, but he passed away soon after they departed.
According to information provided to this website by family members, he will be readied for burial in accordance with Islamic tradition at 5 p.m. today.
In 2018, the late NDC chairman defeated fierce competition from Alhaji Osman Musah, Alhaji Umar Farouk, Godfred Apasinaba Wumbei, Hon. Bukari Moses Mabengba, and Alhaji Mohammed Sumani Zakari to win the job.
