The National Youth Organizer of the incumbent New Patriotic Party NPP, Henry Nana Boakye who is popularised by the name Nana B have called for the arrest of Mensah Thomas, the Executive Director of Alliance for Social Equity and Public Accountability (ASEPA) with immediate effect.
According to the National Youth Organizer Henry Nana Boakye, the Executive Director of Alliance for Social Equity and Public Accountability (ASEPA) has a penchant for metastasizing lies and falsehood allegations in the country purported to incite the public and if possible endanger the lives of Ghanaians in the country.
It could be noted that Mr Mensah Thomas through his social media Facebook page alleged that, the presidential Aircraft of the Ghana Armed Forces was used by the relatives of the President of the Republic of Ghana for a shopping trip to the United Kingdom YK between 20th and 30th of December 2021.
Mr Mensah Thompson further indicated that the children and relatives of the President did not only embark on the fun-filled trip outside the country’s with the state Presidential jet alone but in the company of friends.
“So between the 20th and 30th of December, 2021..during the Christmas, the children of a close relative of the President took Ghana’s Presidential Jet the Falcon EX jet on a trip to the UK just for Christmas shopping. They didn’t go alone, they went with their friends and partied in the sky all through the trip, taking snap videos and flaunting their lucky adventure”, Mr Mensah Thompson wrote on his social media Facebook page.
However, the Executive Director of Alliance for Social Equity and Public Accountability (ASEPA) therefore urged why institutions such as the Ghana Armed Forces, National Security Ministry and the Defense to make available answers to why the state Presidential jet meant for official presidential activities is being turned into family errand jet and at the disposal of these “spoilt youngsters”, he described.
Furthermore, the Ghana Armed Forces with references to the alleged post refuted the claims stating that it is untrue and false thereby referring the case to the Defense Ministry for further investigation.
This according to the National Youth Organiser of the incumbent New Patriotic Party NPP is a “penchant of spewing outright lies and false allegations ostensibly to incite the public and endanger lives” on the part of Mr Mensah Thompson and should be arrested with immediate effect .
