All Ghanaians and Foreigners In The Country Must Re-register Their SIM CARDs Before The End Of This Month, Else You Will Lose It -[CHECK OUT THE DEADLINE]

Report convened has it that all SIM card users in Ghana will be required to re-register their SIM cards by June 2021 or risk deactivation.

This is a directive from the Government, specifically from the Ministry of Communication.

The directive is part of the government’s part to fight SIM card and Mobile Money fraud.
Communications Minister, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful stated that individuals who failed to register their SIM cards re-registered will have their numbers deactivated.

“The ministry has consulted all relevant stakeholders and hereby announces that from 1st January 2021, we will all be required to re-register our sim cards. Any SIM card which is not registered will be deactivated by June 2021.

We entreat all citizens, residents, and visitors to cooperate with us to ensure the success of this exercise for our collective security”, she stated.

From January 1, 2021, users can start re-registering their SIM cards with the deadline for re-registration in June 2021.
