The Sunyani High Court presided by Her Ladyship Justice Mavis Akua Andoh has finally brought a closure or judgement to the murder case involving a 27 years old Hairdresser and her 30 years old lover. However, people who thronged to the court who were mostly family members expressed unhappiness.
Speaking to Sunyani based Nsakrapa FM, the nephew of the deceased felt that the Judge could have given a harsh sentence like sentencing the accused to death or life imprisonment.
Somewhere along last year, Hilda Asomaning who is a hairdresser stabbed her husband to death with a pair of scissors. She was arrested by the Abesim Police. After questioning, she revealed that she was fighting with the late husband over a pot of grass cutter soup. She also accepted stabbing him with scissors to death but she is having an explanation.
In court, it emerged that Hilda’s act was in line with self defence. This is because she stabbed her late husband once with the scissors. Per evidence presented, Her Ladyship Justice Mavis Akua Andoh sentenced her to 10 years.
The family is totally unhappy about this judgment.
