The President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Akufo Addo has disclosed that whoever his party, New Patriotic Party NPP will nominate as his successor will directly be the next President of the Republic of Ghana when he leaves office in 2025.
However, President Nana Akufo Addo addressing the party supporters and delegates at the Annual Delegates Conference at Kumasi in the Ashanti Region on the 19th of December 2021 indicated that whatever decisions and steps that will be executed by the party now will determine it a victory in the next general election.
Furthermore, President Nana Akufo Addo jabbed that some of the opponents want to tempt the party but in the fact, they cannot do so because they possess what it takes to achieve their mission in the country.
The President further admonished members and supporters of the party to be disciplined in the party and the Ghanaian societies to maintain peace and unity to allow democracy to prevail.
“Every step taken now leading to 2024 is going to be decisive either to give us victory or not. Some people want to tempt us but they cannot match us. We have what it takes to make us achieve what we want… The person you choose to succeed me will become President after I leave office. All Ghanaians are observing the conference… I am pleading with you all to be disciplined. I also want you all to show unity among ourselves,” Nana Addo explained.
President Nana Akufo Addo touched on the achievement of his office and government to the people of Ghana brags that what he and his government have delivered to Ghanaians is unprecedented and therefore, no government on record can outmatch that.
The Vice President through also giving his speech at the conference fires salvos at the opposition National Democratic Congress NDC further jabbing them for deceiving their supporters by presenting an unreasonable and incompetent petition to the Supreme Court of Ghana after the 2020 general election in the country.
Furthermore, the star of the crowd who ignite many enthusiasts in the delegates also detailed the many good interventions of the President, Nana Akufo Addo government has executed to mitigate the hardships and suffering of the Ghanaian citizens.
Vice President Bawumia on that note, reassured the people of stringent steps and measures the government of Ghana under the leadership of President Nama Akufo Addo is executing to take the country out of the devastating effect of the covid 19 on the economy of the country which is attributing a lot of hardship and suffering on Ghanaian societies.
